All-in-one Solution for Number Plate Recognition

Survision has perfected an all-in-one camera for number plate recognition.

This solution, called VISIPAK ANPR is an optical unit which incorporates all of the necessary components for real-time analysis of traffic flows, by day or night: camera, lens, infrared lighting, electronic infrared synchronisation and image processing components. These are all are integrated into a compact stainless steel unit.

The VISIPAK ANPR integrates the Survision software for number plate recognition at 25 images per second or more. It also provides compressed images of vehicles. It also integrates a set of algorhytms which control the filming parameters (focus, contrast, gain, iris etc...), allowing for the optimisation of image quality

Thanks to the powerful zoom and optimised infrared lighting, the VISIPAK ANPR can be used for filming from a distance of between 3 and 45 metres. It supplies the number plates as well as the images of vehicules on a network socket, thus allowing integrators and manufacturers of access control or video surveillance solutions to integrate the VISIPAK easily and quickly into their own products.

This new solution offers several advantages over both the assembly of standard elements and over already existing solutions on the market:

The VISIPAK ANPR allows in particular the implementation of road and tunnel applications in high-performance conditions and with an unequalled ease of implementation and maintenance.

The VISIPAK also comes in version MPEG. In this version, the camera provides a compressed and optimised video stream to a remote server which carries out number plate recognition or another type of vehicle detection and identification processing (identification of dangerous goods being transported, identification of vehicle makes and models, etc...).
